Yes, as with other programs, I prefer the portable edition rather than the installable one. On the other hand, I encaurage you to help me with this blog. To be concrete, I am using Notepad++ for several years, but since a few months, I am getting the best of it. Place this file in the Maptool jar folder. It could just be my system as well, but I thought I'd give you a heads up. Despite this bug(?), it's still well worth using.

It can be installed through the plug-in manager. It doesn't happen often, but I recommend use of the Auto-save plugin.
